"What's Going Through Your Mind" debuted with a quartet of Classic TAB in the spring following a Sphere run that introduced a whole new future. Phish picked it up with Billy Strings singing the second verse on a summer night in Michigan. WGTYM looks back at a past filled with wild and wacky times that brings together a disparate collection of characters having an unsettling good time. In the wake of the fun, one, or each, of the characters arise to another day, but soon find something is different, and begs exploring. So they begin to think - and as they go deeper into cavernous thoughts, they find that maybe the trouble was they. They have a pseudo-antagonist, someone that irritates them to some degree, because while it's never been spoken of, for reasons of love, it's there and it can throw daggers, if not little darts. But they also recognize that the only way to carry on with a dream is to be with those that are so different -- because in the end they realize that they could all say the same about them.
